I tried to get her to wear a spiky dress, but it wouldn't fit (she had been on a robust diet since 12 or so because I had worked her to the bone, but now she was too fat, go figure.that's a little joke). I even encouraged this by buying pills to increase her bust size. She spent most of her time working at the " sleazy bar" (yes, that's exactly how it's phrased in the game). Sometimes she was such a delinquent she was refused work by the respectable bar and the cabaret. I worked her until she got sick, so much so that the first couple times I tried this experiment, she actually died. She was arrested several times and she ran away from home a couple times.
There's a lot of secrets to find that depend on the path your daughter takes, so the replay value is good. I managed to get one daughter married to Lucifer - whoops! It's a pretty fun and addictive game. Or of course, she can turn go bad and be a thief or worse. There's a lot of different possible endings - pretty much every job is possible from maid to princess. Of course as a parent you want the best for her, and the game scores you on how she turns out both in work and love. She'll grow up and get more options and choices, and eventually she'll leave home. There's a few regular events each year, but for the most part you get to choose exactly what she does. Time passes in the game and your daughter grows up. And if she gets too stressed out, she'll run away, so make sure you treat her properly. She can go out into the world and fight monsters, but she better have the proper skills and equipment. There's also schooling, but that costs money. Or she could work as a lumberjack and get paid, but she'll be much less refined. Having your daughter do homework will raise her temperament and cooking skills, but it will make less sensitive. You have to make tradeoffs in your choice. The game gets quite complicated fast - there's a lot of different qualities to your child that are determined before you start - blood type, astrology sign and other things. Of course, copies are available on the net. It was translated by an American company but never went past beta stage due to groups complaining about the sexist nature of the game.

Most of what I know about the series comes from the Princess Maker 2 release. You chose her job, schooling and can even guide her on adventures. The concept behind the series is that you are a father who has to raise a daughter in a fantasy setting.

Originally came out for DOS it's since spread to Super Famicom, Playstation, Sega Saturn, Windows 95 and is threatening to spread to Dreamcast as well. The best is to just do whatever, anything you feel like doing, and see where you end up.Popular series of Japanese RPG/ Sim games. If you're going to make a run for becoming Princess, you have to talk to the people at the castle and climb the social ladder (each one is the gatekeeper for the next), but each rung of that ladder is interested in an entirely different skill, so you have to aggressively pursue all the right skills in exactly the right order. The game has tons of endings so you just keep on throwing that little weakling into the woods with an axe until you discover what kind of ending that gets you. Or if the lumberjack job is just too far out of reach for your cute little ten-year-old girl (even with abusing the RNG), save/load and change directions to have her spend more time babysitting.

So save/load and abuse the random number generator to make sure that you have a great start in your new job. If you succeed at work, your stats grow and the job gets easier. If you fail at work, you've just wasted your time.
You can also abuse gamesaves with your regular work. Then reload an older save and steer away from the competition if you have to. If you want to know if you've gotten good enough to compete, try it. Getting your butt kicked doesn't help you with anything.Ībuse your gamesaves. For the first couple of years, spend the month before the festival with a big workload, and then take advantage of the month off to rest and relax and watch the festival.
The Harvest Festival comes at the same time every year, but even if you had studied art or dancing, you would have still been crushed, because you're a noob in any/all of those fields.
